Memorial Day

Have fun celebrating on your day off, but don't forget the men and women who have given their lives for our great country.

Kansas City Zoo

We went to the zoo to celebrate Josh's day off yesterday. It was a bit cool and rainy, but we had a great day together.

Briggs and I rode the carousel.

He seemed more interested before and after we rode it. He just wasn't thrilled during the actual ride.

But clearly I was!

Hello Mr. Tiger

This guy (the white-faced Gibbon) was our favorite. He was right up on the window and was interacting with us and the other people. Brigham thought he was interesting too.

Somebody's getting old...

Josh made me some awesome bbq takeout for dinner.

And got me a strawberry cheesecake ice cream cake for dessert.
the cake says: MFOE (made for each other, Josh and Joni style) Dummy (a term of endearment around here).

He's got his hat...

He's got his overalls...

He's got his rake...

He's got dirt (on his mouth, no less)...

and he's got his momma...

having fun!

Here are some pictures of Brigham just playing and having a good time. He is such a fun boy - almost always getting into something, doing something to make us laugh, or giggling and laughing. What did we ever do without a Brigham around?

Springin' and swingin'

Briggs got a new swing for Easter. It took some doing to install it in our tree, but it is definitely worth the work everytime he even sees the darn thing. Needless to say, he loves his swing. We are also loving the nice Spring weather. Hard to believe it's already May...

This one is a bit blurred, but I just love that face. Can't wait to ride on rollercoasters with him!

My dining chairs needed a good cleaning and some personality. I opted out of the good cleaning, and gave them some personality instead. The cleaning can now wait until personality-filled seats get as disgusting as the white ones were.
