My baby boy is 6 months old today. I can't believe it. I'm sure all you parents out there know exactly how I'm feeling. Time has gone by so fast that it can't have been half of a year already. But it also seems like Brig has been in our family forever. He's only been here for 6 months? Crazy.
His stats for today (as measured by nurse Joni, since he doesn't go to his 6 month appointment until he is 7 months old):
Weight: 19.4 pounds
Length: 26.5 inches
Thigh circumference: huge
Brigham is such a blessing and we are so glad to have him around. He is such a good-natured boy with almost always a smile to give. His current favorite things: his dad, watching SportsCenter, chewing on his binky, baths, and stroller rides.
His current not-favorite things: nap and bedtime, tipping over onto his head, and teething. Poor little guy.

hallelujah!
Want to hear the good news of the day? WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!
We miss it, especially living in the small hotel room that we do. But we sure won't miss paying a mortgage on a house that we don't live in. 5 memories of our house - go!
1)the crazy wildlife (turtles, snapping turtles, toads, frogs, geese, man-eating bees, snakes, rabbits, even the occasional deer.).
2)Our very own Christmas, in our very own house, snowed-in in our very own Kansas.
3)Mowing the amazonish 2-acre lawn on the barely-running riding mower.
4)Nights around the firepit. We should have poured that patio the day we moved in.
5)All of our projects: basement, patio, garden, landscape lights, flowers, deck, gathering rocks, growing grass, drainage, etc. We worked hard and we played hard.
We will miss you number 5374!
Now, on to more important things, like pictures of Brigham!
This one is dedicated to my family and a select few people who might recognize this look. Think Javier.
Our happy, chunky boy.
Showing off his lone tooth.

charlottesville
We've moved temporarily to Charlottesville, VA. It is good to have our family back together at the Residence Inn. Here's what we've been up to for the past week.
These two were so happy to see each other again. This was our first night back. They are good buddies and have only gotten closer and happier since then.
Brigham has mastered sitting up and is a little fish. He loves to go swimming and to take baths.
He also loves his good friends, the toes.
We borrowed some toys from one of the CPTs that Josh works for. Brigham wasn't too sure what to think about this guy. Now he likes to wrestle him.
Brig, sporting out lastest Old Navy find. There's not too much to do during the day between naps, but there is some great shopping just down the street. We like to go for walks every day. And because I don't have the strongest will power and can't resist a deal, most of the time we end up bringing something home from our walks.
We did check out the library yesterday and although they didn't have my current addiction (The Hunger Games series) and I had to buy it anyway, I will be a frequent visitor there. Let me know what good books you have read. I need a list.

Here's a couch-full
Have you ever wondered how to photograph 5 babies at the same time? Well, you can either have the mothers hold the babies....
Or you can line them up and take lots of pictures...
before Bella gets away...
or before Brigham tips over....
or before Bella gets away....
or Brigham tips over.
Before Bella bugs Trace and Brigham tips over...
or before Bella bugs Trace and Brigham and Jensen and Jan tip over.
Trying to get a good picture of 5 babies is hard work...
but so is getting a good one with only two babies.
(from l to r: Jamie and Isabella, Jerilyn and Trace, Joni and Brigham, Janalyn and Jensen, Rachel Chisanga and Jan Tracy)

Don't forget the point one
I ran the Salt Lake Half Marathon on Saturday with my good friend Rachel. All 13.1 miles of it. It was so fun (yes, I had fun running) and not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. Maybe it's because I haven't hung out with her for so long - and we had lots and lots to talk about. I didn't hardly notice the four miles that were straight uphill - and 2 hours went by lots faster than I expected them to! It was my first, but definitely not my last. I'm already looking forward to my next one...and I'm not even done being sore yet! Here is some proof that it really happened:
