4 weeks old

Brigham is four weeks old today! I can't believe how fast time has already gone by.


In the past weeks, baby Briggs has learned to master: eating, puking, peeing when we take his diaper off, holding hands, grunting, tummy naps, and looking so so cute.

He is getting a little better every day at: sleeping at night, productive grunting, not scratching himself, holding his head up, not going cross-eyed, and wrapping his parents around his fingers. All ten of them. And his toes.

We sure feel lucky to have this little guy be part of our family. It's been a great four weeks.

2 weeks old

The changing of the guard?

Close, but better. On Thursday we had a little ceremony that I'd like to call the changing of the grandmas. We were lucky enough to have my mom here with us for almost 2 weeks. After cooking and cleaning and walking the dogs and putting up with Josh, she was probably ready to go home. So, we dropped her off at the airport but got to pick Josh's mom up all in the same trip - so we didn't have to go one minute without one of our moms here to help.

Day 4

So I know that Josh said that we wouldn't post a new picture everyday. And I'm sure we won't. But today is not one of those days. Gas or no gas, this one is stinkin' cute.



Briggs got his first (and second) at-home sponge bath today. He didn't love it. He didn't love it any more after he peed up himself and had to have a repeat. He was pretty content while I was washing his hair, however.



Last, I caught this cute look during a wide-awake photo shoot this afternoon.



It's nice to be home again. It has been an awesome and blessing-filled week. Not only because we've got our beautiful and healthy baby boy, or because my mom is here to fix my meals and rub my feet, but because Josh passed the BAR!! That's right - he passed.
