Apple Festival

We had an eventful weekend. (Let's be honest, anything is eventful when I sit in a hotel all week. But this one would have been eventful even for the old, busy-life Joni.)
We hiked the rocks, as per the previous post. We also stopped at an Apple Festival here in VA. We tried to hit the festival on the way to our hike, but were stopped in a line of cars miles before the turn in for the festival. We couldn't imagine it actually being that busy, but decided to do our hike and perhaps stop on the way back.
We didn't have to wait as long as we would have in the morning, but we were still greeted with a line of many cars. Then we waited in line to park the car. Then we waited in line to buy apple cider donuts, apple pie, and caramel apple cookies. Then we waited in line to buy apple cider. We didn't bother to pick apples from the orchard (which is part of the festival fun, I'm sure) but we realized when we got home that we should have bought more of the apple goodness of which we just tasted. Everything we had was delicious and was definitely worth the lines.
