So far, Belgium is my favorite place to visit. It is only a short drive away, it is filled with wonderful things to see, and see any of my past posts if you want to know how much I love the waffles. They are fantastic. Therefore, if company comes to town, my favorite place to take them is to Belgium. This time we went to Brussels to see the flower carpet at the Grand Place. It only happens for one weekend every other year, and we happened to want to go the weekend it was there. It was beautiful and definitely worth the trip.
Us and our waffles.
Josh waited for us to get waffles near the window of this store. It had every little cartoon figure you could think of. Benny was fascinated.
Here is the Mannequin Pis, with a view of his stream and everything.
Brigham posing.
This is the flower carpet made of chocolates in one of the chocolate shops.
And a pre-bite shot after a quick stop in my favorite one.
The Grand Place at night is beautiful, but harder to hang out in with the flower carpet blocking the way.
St. Michael's Cathedral, where we found some very drunk Americans (no wonder people don't like Americans. They were terrible.) and a man that was in love with Maddie. I'm sure grateful to have a big strong husband to keep us safe.
He's getting so big.
Maddie and Jordan in front of the palace.
On the way out of town we stopped at the Atomium, which was constructed for the 1958 World's Fair.
Jordan got dressed up that day.
Aren't they adorable?!
There was a tightrope walker who made his way from one big ball to the other. He did make it, and here he is on the news if you are interested.
