Versailles

We went on a palace and garden tour of Versailles.  The palace was really beautiful, but it was so hot and so crowded and our kids were so tired.  All things combined made it a rough couple of hours.  Once we got outside, it was a much more pleasant experience.  If we are to go back with young children, I would definitely forego the palace and just see the gardens.   

 My favorite.

 Because it was the weekend, the fountains were turned on from 3:30 to 5:00.  There are still 30 km of original plumbing that make the fountains work.  (Those are some old pipes!)

 The fountains were obviously way more impressive with the water on, but the atmosphere and gardens were nice either way.

 So was the ice cream.
